  Mike has over 3 decades of shooting experience and firearms education. He brings a passion for not only shooting, but for firearms themselves into every training performed. From a young age, Mike has had a fascination with firearms and shooting. After spending countless hours on the range with individuals who had either never handled a firearm before, or who had extremely bad experiences in the past with firearms, Mike saw there was a considerable void between those individuals already deeply involved in the world of shooting and firearms ownership, and those that were not. He also found that many individuals who had been around firearms for years never actually learned fundamentals that allowed them to truly develop their shooting skills. Because of these realizations Mike was driven to share his passion for firearms and shooting, and Stage 1 Training Solutions was born.  

Our focus at Stage 1 is to give shooters of all levels the foundational knowledge and physical habits to up their skill sets and grow in their shooting ability, regardless of their experience level. We do this by breaking down the shooting experience to its most basic parts, and build upon those base blocks. Doing this allows each student to continue on to the next level of their journey with the fundament tools needed to be successful.

Our goal at Stage 1 is, and always will be, to create an environment that makes the training experience one that is safe, fun, and productive. By keeping our class size small and controllable, we ensure that every student gets the attention they need to fully absorb the course material and walk away knowing they have increased their knowledge and skillset base.
